Wera Osadciw, 95, of Seven Hills, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 30, 2019. Wera was born on July 17, 1924 in a small town near Odessa, Ukraine. Raised in the turmoil of World War II, Wera emerged without her family, just a young adult herself. She, however, was far more than a victim of war; she was a survivor, a loving mother, an entrepreneur, an advocate for those less fortunate, and - above all else - the epitome of resilience. From immigrating to America with three young children to running a successful business, Wera's Elegant Dresses, she worked tirelessly to build a better life for her family. A firm believer in miracles, faith, and the love of the Heavenly Father, Wera was generous in her life's mission to pay it forward and share blessings. She never turned down an opportunity to help someone in need, regardless of if they were friends, family, or strangers she just met. Her wit and spitfire personality will be hard to forget, as she always gave life lessons wrapped in love and delivered with a zing. She loved reading, gardening, sewing and creating, and had a passion for making flowers and clothing accessories. She is survived by her daughter, Val West; son, Wasyl Szytec; daughter, Irene Bauer; daughter, Helen Litvak; daughter, Nancy Black.
Friends and family received at HOLOWCHAK FUNERAL HOME; 5548 State Rd Parma OH on Sunday November 3, 2019 from 2-6 PM and Monday November 4, 2019 from 9:30 to 10 AM with Funeral Services at 10 AM. Interment at St Andrew Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
