Joann E. Holman, 75, of Parma, Ohio, passed away on May 30, 2024 after a long arduous battle with COPD.
Joann was born on June 21, 1948 to William and Eshter Peto in Cleveland, Ohio. After graduating from Rhodes High School in 1966, she went on to study cosmetology at Grace College of Cosmetology. After graduation, she landed her first job as a cosmetologist for The May Company for many years.
In 1964, Joann met James Wojton, and they wed on August 21, 1966, going on to have three children, Theresa “Hannah”, Adam, and Zachary. She excelled at supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives.
Joann was a loyal friend and caring person to many, when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found often volunteering at nearby food banks.
We will miss her greatly.
She is survived by Theresa “Hannah”, Adam, and Zachary, as well as her six grandchildren; Andrew, Nicolas, Liam, Wyatt, Jack, and Ruger.
The family requests that no flowers be sent, rather donations made to the Parma Hunger Center (http://www.plcparma.org/donate.html ). There will be a celebration of life for the family and friends at a later date.
