Galen Edward Erdly Sr.

Galen Edward Erdly Sr. was born in Milton, PA on June 23,1935.  Passed away at Parma Hospital on May 19, 2024. Galen is preceded in death by his loving wife Dolores (nee Shimko).  Father of Galen Erdly Jr. (deceased) (Sandra), Gale Erdly, Candy Higham, Donald Erdly, Patrick Erdly, Lee Boyes (deceased) (Jim).  Stepfather of Norman Willingham (deceased), Bruce Willingham (Terry), Violet DeFabbo and Frank Willingham (deceased).  Loving Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Uncle of many.  Former wife Patricia (nee Opalka).  He is preceded in death by his Mother Lydia (nee Rantz), Father Truman Erdly and Brothers Walter and William Erdly (Judy).  

He was a retired steelworker for J & L Steel.  Also, a good neighbor and friend who loved sports.  Especially the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Family and friends received at HOLOWCHAK FUNERAL HOME; 5548 State Rd Parma, OH 44134 on Thursday May 23, 2024, for a Visitation from 5:00 - 7:30 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:30 PM.  Friday May 24, 2024 for a Visitation from 10:00 - 10:45 AM with a Prayer Service at 10:45 AM. Entombment Services at Brooklyn Hts. Cemetery.
