Helen Sutila

HELEN SUTILA (nee Meserini), age 87, born in Cleveland, OH., passed away peacefully on July 7, 2022, surrounded by her family. Loving mother of Michael (Mark) and Mary DeStefanis (Rocco); Helen Marie Frantz (James). Helen Marie James Frantz Treasured Grandmother of Violet, Lilyanna, Jessica, Nicolas, Rocco Jr. Great-Grandmother of Coleman, Zoe, Aubrey, Riley. Devoted daughter of the late Fred and Mary Meserini. Dear sister of Frank Meserini (Jean) and Lena Matyk (Bernie; both deceased). Family and friends received on Thursday, July 14, 2022, from 10 am to 11 am, at St. Rocco Church, 3205 Fulton Rd, Cleveland, Ohio. Followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.

Helen loved her dogs, polka music, taking care of her home, and gardening in the yard. She loved spending time with family and friends and was always interested in what was going on in others' lives and their stories. Mom was very proud of how hard she worked, from driving a tow motor at work to caring for her family. Being a single mother, she raised three children, and they were her passion, because of the love she gave that will continue on in us and be her legacy.
